6th Annual Gainesville Cranksgiving '18

Public details: Part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt -- coming to Gainesville again this November '18, directly benefiting the citizens at GRACE Marketplace. DATE 11/18/18 TIME 1 pm registration time, ride will start 1:30pm You will have a 2 hour time limit to complete the ride. If you do not finish, return to The Freewheel Project! LOCATION Starts at The Freewheel Project @ 618 South Main St.
Member details: REGISTRATION It is FREE to register, but bring an item from GRACE Marketplace's wishlist, including but not limited to: packaged underwear, socks, work boots (socks & workboots can be used) OR canned corn, beans, or tomatoes OR . Expect to spend $10 at most on nonperishable goods during the ride as well! WHAT TO BRING Yourself, a bike, bag (panniers or backpack recommended), lock and helmet, and an award winning smile. Cranksgiving is an annual food drive & Thanksgiving-themed alleycat held across the nation that helps stock local food banks with Thanksgiving dinner. This will be Gainesville's 6th annual Cranksgiving!! You're welcome to complete to route at your own pace! Ride it as fast as you can or ride with your friends. All levels of riders welcome. Expect to ride about 15 miles. Helmets, locks, and backpacks or panniers highly recommended. After registration, riders will receive a manifest with a list of checkpoints. You must ride to each of these checkpoints and complete the tasks in order to complete it. If you're interested in volunteering or helping us organize, Kristiina Thompson via facebook message.
