Recreational Tree Climbing Demo and Ecological Walk

|Public details: Have you wondered why do people climb trees? How do they do it, and what kind of gear do they use? What trees are safe to climb? Most important, how do they protect themselves and not damage the trees?
Members of the Atlanta Tree Climbing Club (ATCC is associated with Tree Climbers International) will be climbing in Alachua County on Monday, January 22nd and will be available to answer questions and demonstrate many of the tree climbing techniques available for recreational tree climbers.
Additionally, an experienced arborist and ecologist will be present to guide people through a typical Florida wetland environment.
The event will start at 10 am and will continue through the afternoon. It is an informal event and ATCC climb.
